It comes with great sadness to inform you of the passing of Kirk Scott, known to many as “Scotty”, on 26/10/2023.

Kirk passed away peacefully with all his close family by his side and is now at rest. He was a true tug of war man who commanded a huge amount of respect from many pullers and coaches throughout the tug of war community both at home and abroad for his dedication and knowledge of tug of war as a puller and coach.

Kirk was a puller for many years with Sandhurst Tug of War Club before becoming a huge part of Felton Eccles Tug of War Club for many years leading the team through a very successful era during two coaching spells with the club, leading the team to several national championship titles, UK titles, a World Championship title for England at 640kg in 1998, as well as several European and World Open Club titles, plus a host of international silver and bronze medals in addition. Kirk also served as coach during short periods for Norton Tug of War Club and BAC as well as serving for a period as England Team Manager.
