2024 Inter County Tug of War Championships Results
This weekend, Oxney Vines Cross hosted the 2024 Inter County Tug of War Championships. It was a competitive day of Tug of War with the following teams taking part - Oxney Vines Cross, Lincoln, Felton Eccles, Anstey, East Anglia, Army and Bedford Ladies taking part.
The competitions started with the Inter County weight classes which are held at 640kg and 680kg for men. This year, ladies weight classes were held at an inter county championships for the first time at 520kg and 540kg. The results of the inter county competitions were as follows:
Men 640kg - Winners - Lincolnshire (represented by Lincoln) - Runners Up - Sussex (represented by Oxney Vines Cross)
Men 680kg - Winners - Lincolnshire (represented by Lincoln) - Runners Up - Sussex (represented by Oxney Vines Cross)
Ladies 520kg - Winners - Bedfordshire (represented by Bedford Ladies) - Runners Up - Wiltshire (represented by Army Ladies)
Ladies 540kg - Winners - Bedfordshire (represented by Bedford Ladies) - Runners Up - Wiltshire (represented by Army Ladies)
