Devon County Show Results 18/05/2024
Devon County Show took place on Saturday 18 May, with 14 teams entered - 7 Men’s teams and 7 Ladies teams.
Each competition was pulled in straight groups of 7 on 3 ropes.
As usual a very large crowd was in attendance but by the end they had thinned out due to the very heavy showers we had in the afternoon.
The Ladies group was won by St Enoder on the maximum points of 18 followed by Anstey on 15 then Honiton 12, Haldon 6, Culm Valley 5, Yarcombe 4, and finally Whimple 1.
The final saw St Enoder beat Anstey 2-0
In the Men’s event we had a new team enter for the very first time Coombe Tuggers and they made a very good account of themselves seeing it was their first proper competition
Anstey won the group again on maximum points 18, then Honiton in the runner up spot on 15,Yarcombe on 10, Haldon on 7, then the Coombe Tuggers on a very respectable 6, Culm Valley on 5 and Whimple pulled very well.
The final saw Anstey overcome Honiton 2-0
