Round 3 of the Far Western Area Tug of War Training League was this week kindly hosted by Anstey TOWC.

The weather gods were with us once again with a glorious Devon spring day with blue skies and lots of sunshine and like previous competitions, there was some very competitive pulling with the added appearance of Felton Eccles this week adding to the excitement.

We started as previous weeks with the men’s 600kg run alongside the ladies 580kg.

Anstey once again proved very strong in the 600kg with 6 teams entering and finishing top on maximum points followed by Sandhurst A, then Felton, Honiton, Yarcombe and finally Sandhurst B.

In the ladies 580kg competition, 4 teams entered. St Enoder were the winners again on maximum points with Sandhurst the runner up, followed by Anstey ladies and finally Haldon.
