Successful Charity Truck Pull in Morecambe Bay
This Sunday a Charity Truck Pull was organised by the Lancashire Association of Boys and Girls Clubs and supported by the Tug of War Association in Morecambe Bay with teams of adults and juniors taking part in timed pulls over a set distance.
Each team had two rounds of pulling to try and get the fastest time and win the main trophy.
The adult competition was won by Salt Ayre Leisure Centre and the junior competition was won by Bolton Youth Club. It was great to see that on the day, additional junior teams were formed by encouraging spectators to take part and have a go in much the same way as additional teams are formed at GENSB competitions.
An enjoyable day was had by all who took part.
This was the first event that LABGC had organised and they learned a lot. They are hoping to run this event again next year.
Some videos from the event can be viewed below.
The Tug of War Association provides support and assistance to a number of event organisers across the country every year, so if you are looking to organise and event and need some help and advice or wish to borrow a rope, then please contact us and we can try and assist where we have availability.
